Dorset isn't always blue skies and sun! We had our fair share of rain, but that didn't stop us from exploring.
Today we visited the Red House Museum.
The museum is filled with a rich history that kept us all wanting to know a little bit more. The walls are filled with old photos and the window ledges with old oil lamps.
The building was constructed in 1764 as a parish workhouse for the poor, before opening as a museum in 1951.
It is now a Grade II* listed building, filled with beautiful treasures and so much history!
Olivia fighting a very large Saxon!
Olivia and Lillie had a little lesson about the Saxons, outside on the green, followed with a reconstruction of what a fight might look like, but blood-free, limbs still attached and knives with edges, so blunt and smooth it would tickle!
